Right to work
You can legally start working 6 months after you have applied for asylum in Serbia, even if you are still waiting for the final decision on your asylum application. You just have to obtain confirmation from the Asylum Office that you have applied for asylum 6 months ago (or more) and that your asylum procedure is still ongoing. With this confirmation you can sign a labor contract with your employer. This confirmation is issued free of charge and in a very short period of time.
Also, people who are granted asylum (refugee protection or subsidiary protection) can legally work from the moment when they receive a positive decision.
