Overview

The police in Hungary is authorized to carry out pushbacks at the border Fence and every part within Hungarian territory, despite the request for Asylum without legal procedures.
Means: there is no access to asylum procedure in Hungary and pushbacks are legal under Hungarian state law.
The only possibility to ask for asylum in Hungary is by lodging an declaration of intent at the embassy in Kyiv (Ukraine) or Belgrade (Serbia).
