In Iceland, the Red Cross represents the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR). The Red Cross provides assistance to refugees including psychosocial support, first aid courses and practical assistance. The Red Cross also operates a tracing system to help find lost family and loved ones and assists with reuniting families.
