Minors

Unaccompanied minor (abbreviation in Dutch: AMV): When you are a minor you can also ask for asylum. If your asylum request gets rejected the authorities have to decide if you can be sent to an guardian in your home country. If this decision takes too long, you are entitled to a residence permit. The policy regarding AMV’s with rejected asylum request is currently (2022) under review.
