Victims of gender-violence
Can I get a residence and work permit if I am victim of gender-violence?
Yes, if you present your case in a court of law. Then you will receive a provisional permit for one year until the court has made a final decision. If the final judgment is positive, you will get a 5-year residence permit.
And if I have an expulsion order, can I still apply?
Yes, if you have an expulsion order you can still present your case as a victim of gender-violence in a court of law. Once declared, the expulsion order will be stopped and you will receive a provisional permit for one year until the court has made a final decision. If the final judgment is positive, the expulsion order will be suspended and you will be granted a 5-year residence permit. On the other side, if the final judgment is negative, they will reopen the expulsion order.
